Dear Friends,

We’ve been busy since the first of the year preparing our good friend and co-worker’s estate sale.  If you haven’t heard yet, Lynn Baker passed away December 3rd of last year.  He is deeply missed. We are proud to offer his estate to you.

WHEN IS AN ESTATE SALE BETTER THAN A YARD SALE?

When the estate is that of an art director, image consultant and jewelry designer who moved from Nashville to Tijeras, NM after a career of wardrobe design, video production, event planning, image consulting, interior design, set design and art direction. Lynn Baker was an award-winning jewelry and costume designer who specialized in unique creations for entertainers and celebrities. Baker’s jewelry was featured on the red carpet at countless award shows, in music videos, on album covers and in magazines. His clients included Rosanne Cash, Clint Black, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dixie Chicks, The Judds, Loretta Lynn, Lee Roy Parnell, Doug Stone, Shania Twain, Lee Ann Womack, Tammy Wynette, Trace Adkins, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Diamond Rio (there are autographed pictures of many of those artists available at the sale). Baker won nine Country Music Association/Grand Ole Opry awards for art direction and served as event coordinator for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Though he also studied art in Mexico and South America, his estate is not just jewelry and clothing. Lynn was a collector with an impressive range of interests. He collected pieces on Queen Elizabeth, books on almost every imaginable topic, Native American rugs and jewelry, yard art, lamps, records, CDs and DVDs, and he had a large collection of kitchenware. Almost every wall of his house is covered in art, ranging from photographs and landscapes to religious and indigenous pieces. And if you’re a poodle lover—as Lynn was—there’s an entire room of poodle art!  And I’m sure those of you who knew him know he had more clothes than you can think of.

We have showcased his extensive jewelry collection and a sample of other items at Anteeks on Menaul, 8908 Menaul NE (Moon and Menaul).  Bob, Sean and Katheryn, good friends of Lynn, will be happy to show Lynn’s jewelry and other items to you.  The good news with the collection at Anteeks on Menaul is that it is open seven days a week between 10-6PM.

In addition to previously mentioned items there are:

  • Art Glass
  • Mid-century furniture and lamps (Franciscan made in Albuquerque)
  • Peter Max signed poster
  • Peter Hurd Orint
  • Hatch Show Prints
  • Pendelton blankets and vests
  • German steins
  • Russian boxes and dolls
  • Wooden Box Collection
  • Egyptian art
  • Olympic and balloon pins
  • Religious collection in various media

Parking for the sale will be a challenge.  The house is near a dangerous curve on S14. There is no parking on the property or in front of the house. We will have one driveway open for drop off and pickup only.  There is a nearby area for parking on the west side of southbound S14 before the property.

Sale Entrance:

  • Please line up on the South side of the house
  • Enter through the backyard gate at 10AM
  • The main gate (south) will be opened at 10AM
  • Pedestrian traffic can enter through the North gate without the gate open

Thank you for understanding.

We’ve said it before but there is an amazing range of items available at this sale, quite literally something for everyone and every taste.

Hope to see you there.

Barbara
